kat mcd. fine art
Thank you for visiting my site! I love to create places I'd like to be and creatures I'd like to be with. My work consists of handprinted paper, paints, pencil and even upcycled cookie tins. I make collaged paintings on panels with original papers and pencils. My sculptured birds are created in paperclay, then painted or adorned with bits of tin, and paper then set on bases of wood or concrete. I consider myself a multidisciplined artist. Whichever medium works to bring the piece into existence is what I reach for.
Much of my process is inspired by nature or a whimsical protagonist. I'm usually working on a story that guides me through the work. Many layers may show in the final art. I hope you'll take the journey from art's inception to finished piece along with me. Pencil lines to the pieces of hand printed papers. And I hope you'll delight in my work as much as I have in making it. If you'd like to purchase a piece of my artwork, check my Big Cartel shop in the link, to see what I have available. Or inquire directly. I may not have put the piece you are interested on my ecommerce site yet. >'y'< |
